Dr. Duke Hamlin (center)

Pastor Hamlin and Donna have been married since 1979. They have two adult children, Amanda (b. 1986) and Joshua (b. 1988). Having been born in Missouri, Duke and Donna attended elementary and high school there. After High School, they attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. Pastor Hamilin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and History. After moving to Ft. Worth, TX in the summer of 1980, he attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated in 1983 (Master of Divinity) and 1991 (Doctor of Philosophy in Church History). After his graduation from seminary, the Hamlin family moved to Carthage, NY in 1992 in order for Duke to server as pastor. After serving seven years in Carthage, he accepted a pastorate in Rochester, NY, (1999-2003) and later served as church planter and pastor at Church on the Ridge (2004 - present). Dr. Hamlin has served as a pastor (both full-time and bi-vocationally) and a volunteer worker in churches in Missouri, Texas, and New York. In addition to his ministry at Church on the Ridge, he also serves as a chaplain in local businesses through Marketplace Chaplains.

Donna completed her college work at Texas Christian University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1983. Donna also received her Master of Science degree in Reading from SUNY College of Potsdam in 1999. She has worked as a Kindergarten Teacher, Substitute Teacher, and, presently, as a Compensatory Reading Teacher in Newark, NY.
